Its like not knowing you don't know how to read. We are brought up on a certain diet and its hard to change. We mimic a happy healthy diet. and life.

When the reality is most of us are oblivious to what we are putting in out mouths. Or we know and we don't always have time. This may be true, but just think about if you make time your body will give you less trouble; so you find more time and you are suddenly into a positive spiral and don't know how you ever managed before.


We are everything that we eat and we know diets of the past offer worse choice than we enjoy now. We know that diets around the world are better. Why don't we do something then. We try foreign foods and there are new ways of treating our food. We are advised by our government to change, but do we? It's too much effort and we know they are only interested in saving money, but to us it is personal. So why can't we look for the healthy national and international foods instead of the takeaway. Know what you're doing when you choose food.


When you are over weight you feel there is a person deep inside who nobody can see or react to, therefore you feel the brunt of many prejudices and from different age groups who either don't care, or feel disgusted that you present yourself as such, when you can do better. You are lost saying nothing works for you or you are angry that they think they know you.

So why not change something staple in you diet. We often want to or even feel that we have to. And there comes a time when we have to do what our parents were not able to. We have to be responsible for things that are not right now. Where to start then. Well we know what we like and what the things we don't like, do to our bodies, so start there. These may not change but what about the rest? What about the rest of the world of food out there waiting to be discovered.

Education is in being prepared to try something new that takes our fancy each month when we go shopping. It would be desirous to read up about food you hear about. You may just like the idea of one thing, but that could be the beginning of whole new world.

With time and experience, we all have our own knowledge of many things, how to support ourselves emotionally and practical solutions develop.
